How does PaidLine work?
Updated
2 min read
Your PaidLine number is a dedicated phone number you share anywhere you'd normally share one — your website, social bios, email signature, business cards. Callers dial it like any other number. Behind the scenes, PaidLine handles billing, payouts, and privacy on every call.
The flow, end to end
- You set your rate and hours. From your dashboard, pick a per-minute rate ($0.10–$100/min) and the hours you're open to calls.
- A caller dials your PaidLine number. They hear a friendly greeting with your rate, then enter a payment method. The card is pre-authorized before the call connects.
- The call routes to your real phone. Your private number stays hidden. Caller ID shows your PaidLine number on both ends.
- The clock runs after a 30-second grace period. Calls shorter than 30 seconds are never billed — a buffer for "wrong number" or "is this a good time?" moments.
- PaidLine handles everything after. The caller's card is charged for the call duration. They get an automatic receipt. Your earnings post to your account.
Get paid monthly
Earnings accrue in real time and are paid out monthly to your linked U.S. bank account. PaidLine's only fee is 10% per completed paid call — no setup fees, no transaction fees, no chargeback fees.
Return calls work the same way
Dial your own PaidLine number from your verified forwarding phone, enter the caller's extension, and PaidLine connects you while billing them at your current rate. The caller's payment method is saved from their first call, so no friction on repeat sessions.
