Can I change my forwarding number?
You can keep a work phone, a personal phone, and a backup device all verified on the same account, and switch which one rings for incoming PaidLine calls — without your callers ever knowing.
Adding a new forwarding number
- Open Dashboard → Settings → Manage Numbers.
- Click "Add Number" and enter the new phone number.
- Enter the one-time verification code sent to that number.
- Set it as your active forwarding number — or keep it verified and switch to it later.
Switching between verified numbers
Once a number is verified, switching is one tap from your dashboard. No re-verification needed. Switch from your work phone to your personal phone, to your tablet's calling line, to a hotel landline — whatever fits the moment.
What stays the same
Your PaidLine number — the one callers dial and the one that appears on caller ID — is unchanged. Callers don't see, and don't need to know, which device is actually receiving the call.
Changing your primary account number
The primary number on your account (used for account-recovery SMS and identity verification) is separate from forwarding numbers. To change it, contact support from your registered account email with the new number. We'll send a one-time code to verify, then update the account.
