From the caller's perspective, your PaidLine number works exactly like a regular phone number. They dial, you answer. Behind the scenes, PaidLine handles payment, privacy, and routing.

The call flow

  1. Caller dials your PaidLine number — from any phone, anywhere.
  2. They hear your greeting — your voice, your custom bio, your rate.
  3. They confirm payment — either via saved card or by entering one. See How can callers pay to reach me?
  4. The call connects — if you're marked Available. Your phone rings, caller ID shows your PaidLine number.
  5. If you're unavailable: the caller hears a polite "try later" message and can dial again during your scheduled hours.

vCards for easy follow-ups

After any successful call, both you and the caller receive each other's vCard (digital contact card with PaidLine details only). Save it once, and reconnecting is one tap — no need to manually remember the PaidLine number. PaidLine routes every future call through the secure system; your real number stays private forever.

What makes this different from a regular phone

  • Pre-payment required. Random callers, spam, and unwanted dials can't reach you
  • Number masking. Your real phone number is never exposed
  • Built-in availability. Off-hours = polite message, not a phone ringing at 2 AM
  • Automatic billing. Every minute is tracked, every call is paid for
